Rwentutu Christian School started in 2007 and presently serves at least 250 pre-school through grade 7 students. It is run by Umojo, a Canadian-based non-profit organization. The rural school stands on 45 acres of property near the Congo border. The school has expanded as classroom space has been built.
In 2008 C4A provided a grant through a donation from Glenmore Christian School in Western Canada to build a four classroom block to handle the increasing number of students.
Funds were disbursed in installments through contacts in Uganda. This first phase of the C4A's involvement with Rwentutu was completed in December 2008. A team of local builders constructed the block providing work for the local people and much improved facilities for effective learning to take place.
