Victory Christian School is located in the small trading centre town of Qumbu in Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The school was started in 2002 and serves over 92 students in pre-school through grade 4. The school has a staff of 6 teachers including the principal and owns the land on which the buildings stand. The school caters for children from a wide area and plans to expand its grade offerings over time. Conditions are very poor, school equipment is minimal.
In 2008 the administration of Qumbu applied for a grant from Classrooms for Africa to help building classrooms to complement the existing school building - a converted house. Funds were donated by ACSI schools in Western Canada and disbursed through ACSI South Africa. The building was finally completed by December 2010.
