With two new classrooms blocks in place, Rwentutu Christian Primary School is now able to offer full primary education from Nursery to Grade 7. The school is run by Umojo, a Canadian-based non-profit organization and operated by Ugadan staff. The rural school stands on 45 acres of property near the Congo border.
In 2008 C4A provided a grant through a donation from Glemnore Christian School in Western Canada to build a four classroom block to handle the increasing number of students. Further funds were donated through Classrooms for Africa by donors in Western Canada in 2010 to build a second classroom block. This was completed by December 2010 and is now in full use by the students.
Funds were disbursed in installments through Umoja. A team of local builders constructed the classrooms providing work for the local people and much improved facilities for effective learning to take place.
