Background Information:
Hope Secondary Comprehensive School is situated about 15 km north of Masaka in Uganda. The school is owned and operated by the Hope Christian Nursery and Primary School Society. The Society has effectively run a nursery and primary school for the past 15 years.
The current primary school serves students from the local community as well as from other parts of Uganda. The secondary school was initiated because there was no Christian high school available in the area. About 4 years ago the society purchased land to build the high school. In 2008 they received a grant from Classrooms for Africa to build a classroom block and administration building. The school opened its doors for the first time in February 2011 to over 60 students. Their immediate need is to provide dormitory and kitchen facilities for their students many of whom come from outside the area.

Building applied for:
Application has been made to Classrooms for Africa for a grant to help fund the construction of a dormitory block, ablution block and kitchen.

Cost:
Each unit will house approximately 30 studets and will cost $17,000. Total cost for the dormitory (2 units) and matron quarters: $38,000. Ablution block: $4,000. Kitchen: $8,000
