Location:
Sanangwe Christian Primary School is located in the Masvingo District of Zimbabwe. The school was started by the New Vision Church and now serves nearly 500 pre-K through Grade 7 students. The land on which the school is situated was given to the church by the local authorities for the specific purpose of establishing a school.

School information:
Until C4A provided a grant in March 2011 for a four classroom block, the only building on the property was an old house in very poor state of repair. Although much appreciated, the new classroom block only provides accommodation for a portion of the student population. Many children continue to be taught outside, under trees, writing on the ground. Due to the shortage of schools in the ares, the pressure is on Sanangwe Primary School to accept more students.

Building applied for:
Application has been made to C4A for a grant to help fund the construction of second four-classroom block. The builder who supervised the previous block and community volunteer are committed to work on this project. Building materials will be block made by the community , timber and iron sheeting for the roof.

Cost:
An estimated $24,000 will be needed for the materials to build the new block.

Disbursements:
Funds will be disbursed in installments as the project progresses through Classrooms for Africa's representatives in Zimbabwe. They will also help track the building project and finances and provide updates.

Status:
Waiting for final approval and funds

Completion:
2012
