


Location:
Cush Chrstian School is located in the town of Malakal, Southern Sudan. It is on the White Nile River, about halfway between Khartoum and the Ugandan border.
School information:
The civil war in Sudan has resulted in three generations of children with no education. Apart from extreme poverty and lack of infrastructure, there is a serious lack of Christian values in the new generation of children. The church is seeking to help meet this need through Christian education.
Building applied for:
Cush Christian School has applied to Classrooms for Africa for a grant to help fund the construction of a three-classroom block which will be made from bricks, cement floor and iron roof. This will supplement the present reed-walled building which doubles as a church facility.
Cost:
Expected cost will be $10,000 per classroom.
Disbursements:
Funds will be disbursed in installments as the building progresses and the project monitored by a C4A contact in a neighbouring country .
